    Always Properly Step Your Firmware Updates

    Just had a technician I know butcher a firmware upgrade. Bumped an 800C up to 5.4.1 without using proper stepping. Needless to say, the firewall has crashed twice in the past 2 days and I am getting sent in to format, load proper, and re-apply the configuration. Please read release notes before pushing the clicky button.

    Always read the release notes!!! Can't emphasize it enough.

    I had to take a FGT 200C from 4.3.something up to the latest 5.2.x earlier this year. It took about 5 upgrades to get it there, but it worked great.

    Here's the current supported path to 5.2.4:

    That would make me so nervous baha. Knowing my luck some weird bug would occur and nuke my environment.
